Chloe plan 60th birthday celebrations

Chloé will begin celebrations with an exhibition set to open September 28 at Paris' Palais de Tokyo art space, before releasing a Rizzoli tome, unveiling their new Paris flagship store and launching a capsule collection of re-edition styles.

A party will also be held in conjunction with creative director Claire Waight Keller's third catwalk show for the brand, which will take place on on October 1.

The exhibition, which will be curated by Judith Clark, aims to "translate the unique spirit of the brand," Chloé chief executive officer Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye told WWD . "The heritage of Chloé is its youth….[Clark] understands the idiosyncracies of the house."

Although not a retrospective and more a "collage of ideas" according to Waight Keller, the exhibit will feature 70 designs from previous creative directors of the house, including founder Gaby Aghion, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo. 16 of the featured designs will be reworked and sold in flagship Chloé stores.

November will see the brand open a 4,300-square-foot flagship store on Paris' Rue Saint-Honore, designed by architect Joseph Dirand. Carrying the celebrations into the new year, a coffee table book, with words by the British Fashion Council's ambassador for emerging talent, Sarah Mower, will be published by Rizzoli - who are well versed on creating hefty fashion tomes - in the autumn of 2013.
